Rotary Bangalore Midtown

Rotary is where neighbors, friends, and problem-solvers share ideas, join leaders, and take action to create lasting change. Rotary Bangalore Midtown, chartered in 1977, has over the past 30 years rendered notable yeoman service to the community. This includes: providing 10 life-saving ambulances, including the first ever Mobile Limb Ambulance for use in rural areas; building over 127 homes under its “Shelters” project; providing free medical care at its charitable dispensary to over 15,000 patients each year; and providing infrastructure at its adopted rural Govt. schools that educate more than 1,500 children. Also, Rotary Bangalore Midtown is the first 100% Paul Harris Club in Karnataka.

Special Projects

As a part of community service project and one of the Rotary’s thrust area of girland women health and hygiene, Midtown Club Ann’s planned to distributeHealth & Hygiene Kits (sanitary napkins) to underprivileged girls and destitute women.

The end of March 2020, saw a crisis situation – with the fear of spreading of the Corona Virus, COVID -19,affirming on the act of SOCIAL DISTANCING, on announcement of complete lockdown form the 21st of March for a span of 21 days and then an extension till 3rd of May 2020. This led to a number of issues, the daily wage workers, street vendors, casual workers, contract workers started facing a huge loss of income and poverty.
